octave-nurbs software package provides non-uniform rational B-splines for Octave, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-nurbs
octave-nurbs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-nurbs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-nurbs *
You will get with octave-nurbs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
